WELCOME Jeff K, DCM opened the meeting at 7:02
The Preamble, Responsibility Statement and the Serenity Prayer were read.
INTRODUCTIONS: Everyone in attendance introduced themselves
SICK AND DECEASED None Reported
CONCEPT IX was read by Diane S. and Tradition IX was read by Linda S.
A motion was made by Dawn J. and seconded by Gene D. to accept the August minutes. Motion carried unanimously.
DCM Report: There was no DCM report made by Jeff, but he turned the meeting over to Fred who reported on the State Convention. Alanon and Alateen participation was up, however AA participation was slightly down. Perhaps the $40.00 price to register was a possible deterrent. Fred estimated that attendance was around 400, down from 1400 several years ago. Also, the committee will be looking for another venue for the convention.
Fred pointed out as a reminder that the Fall Assembly will be coming up in November and will be on Zoom only. All GSR’s, DCM’s and other officers in each district will be able to vote.

New Business We have previously talked about hosting a Day of Service. Jeff posed the question is there is interest in doing this. Sharon shared that she ran one for the old District 4. They did three things: a picnic, a table for each committee, and a play. She has an entire folder with programs and descriptions of the things that were done. Districts 20 and 21 are interested in joining forces to create this event. Jeff will reach out to the other DCM’s to speak about this. The Branford Alkathon will begin planning this Sunday at 5 at the Baptist Church. Everyone received a flyer regarding safety guidelines taken from GSO. Please share with your groups. The issue of contributions came up. The 30-30-40 split and any contributions are a suggestion only.
People still want a printed book of state-wide meetings. One of the intergroups in CT has created a booklet. They are available at the Sahara Club, and I have attached a copy in the email. One app – The Chair is an app that is pretty up to date.
The By-Laws have been sent out. Please read them and we will vote on them next month.
Meeting adjourned at 7:58 with the Lord’s Prayer.
Respectfully submitted,
Alicia H.
District 19 Secretary
